About the Developer

Hi, I'm Jay — the sole developer behind EZ Child Support. I've been building software professionally for over 25 years, and this project has been a personal passion of mine since 2008.

The original EZ Child Support was a Windows desktop application written in 2008 that sold over 100 copies to Alabama law firms. It worked well for its time, but technology moved on and so did I — into a full-time career as a .NET developer. Eventually, sales slowed, the technology aged, and we both moved on. The product was retired in 2015 and sat dormant for over a decade.

In early 2026 I decided to bring it back as a modern web application. The legal forms haven't changed much, but the technology certainly has. This new version is hosted entirely in the Microsoft Azure cloud, and designed to be fast, secure, and accessible from anywhere. No more installing software on a single office PC — just sign in from any browser, whether you're on Windows or Mac.

I'm a real person, not a faceless corporation. I live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and I care deeply about making this tool useful and reliable for the Alabama family law community.
